Broadbeach is the beachfront suburb where Gold Coast residents wine and dine. More relaxed than its northern neighbour, Surfers Paradise, the dining options in Broadbeach are incredible. They stretch from amazing fine dining experiences that are among the best in Queensland through to casual dining and takeaway options ideal for a relaxing lunch break at the beach. As well as the locals, Broadbeach is exceptionally popular with holidaymakers. The beach and the surf at Broadbeach are among the best in the country and with two Surf Life Saving Clubs in the suburb it’s safe for swimmers and surfers alike. Close to the beach there is a wide array of holiday apartments and high-rises.

Across the highway you will discover two of the major attractions in the area, The Star Casino Resort and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

As the resort continues to expand, it offers visitors more and more dining and entertainment options including theatre shows and movies. For those with shopping on their mind, Pacific Fair is one of the largest shopping malls in Queensland it is perhaps the prime shopping mall for visitors to the Gold Coast. Pacific Fair has more than 400 stores to explore, delicious dining options and numerous entertainment choices. The shopping centre hosts big brand department stores, fashion stories, lots of casual eateries and supermarkets. Visitors can enjoy shopping for an amazing collection of international, Australian, lifestyle and luxury brands including favourites such as Zara, Sabo Skirt, Aje, Country Road, H&M, and Louis Vuitton. The shopping centre has a tropical outdoor resort feature where shoppers can take time out to relax on sunbeds and enjoy the water features.

At the heart of Broadbeach is Surf Parade, where you will discover a street lined with cafes and restaurants, It is one of the most popular “foodie” streets in the city.
Broadbeach is also home to the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival held annually during May plus a range of other community festivals.

For homebuyers, the Broadbeach is dominated by high-rise apartments and each year buyers have more and more options to choose. Median unit prices in Broadbeach rose from $587,000 in January 2018 to $785,000 in January 2023. Just inland from Broadbeach is Broadbeach Waters, which offers buyers majestic waterfront homes in an exclusive canal estate. Broadbeach Waters is rapidly undergoing a major gentrification with buyers moving in and renovating or developing many homes in the suburb.
